Anogeia in the Virtual World of 360°

Through the collaboration of a) the Cultural Network Androidus Project Tank & Laboratory of Culture, Innovation and Research, b) the digital applications development company Virtual Reality Business and c) the virtual and augmented reality and cinematography production company Polar Owl, we created the virtual tour experience of the world of Anogeia as a social contribution to the Municipality of Anogeia and our homeland.

With the initiative of our collaborator and friend Vasilis Linardos, founder of the company VRB based in Livadeia, Boeotia, we designed and implemented a digital experience of virtual touring and information in Anogeia, the settlement of Sisarches, the squares, the churches and certain emblematic locations, as a way to become acquainted with our place through the cutting-edge tools of the digital era.

By capturing the virtual world of Anogeia in the digital 360° environment, we essentially created an alternative way of visiting it through the use of a portable or fixed device (smartphone/mobile phone, tablet, computer), giving us the possibility, either by scanning through a mobile phone or tablet or by clicking here, to virtually visit Anogeia while simultaneously receiving basic information about the place and certain points of interest and visitation (within the settlement area).

For the promotion of the application, special signs with QR codes will be created (which are activated either through an application or through the camera of the portable device and whose operation requires an internet connection) at the points of interest that we managed to gather, so that there will be immediate interaction with the local population and, naturally, the visitor of Anogeia.

The continuous support of the Municipality of Anogeia for a series of initiatives and collaborations contributes, for us, to the creation of actions of corporate social responsibility that aim at a broader impact of promotion, highlighting and utilization of the productive forces, the heritage and the beauty that our place has left to us.
