April 18 marks the International Day of Cultural Heritage.

As the day fades into sunset, it stands as a quiet reminder that this eighteenth day of April is dedicated to the heritage carried forward by the heart of spring.

For us, cultural heritage is not something static—it is a starting point. A beginning for new legacies shaped by people, so that they may remain present, alive, and active across time.

If today calls for a dedication, it belongs to nature itself—the living world that inspires creation. Stone, earth, and wood come together, bound by the thread of wool, forming the materials through which human expression takes shape.

We return this inspiration to the community and its people: to dry-stone craftsmanship and the mitata of Psiloritis, to the meeting point between ancestral knowledge and contemporary culture. Through Metartum, we extend an invitation to walk, explore, and reconnect within the Psiloritis UNESCO Global Geopark (https://metartum.site). 

At the same time, we prepare Adraktos as a way of rediscovering a lost thread—linking the weavers of Psiloritis with a new generation of weavers, artists, and makers across our shared global landscape. Because we believe that the inspiration of the past can shape new forms of heritage for the future.

Looking ahead to 2025, we are also preparing a major artistic gathering in our land and mountain. There, the raw materials of creation will once again bring art and craft onto the same ground—uniting expression and making, from the place that gave us life to the wider world that carries us forward.
