Eva Evangelinou is a graduate of the School of Philosophy at the University of Crete, where she later pursued postgraduate studies in Linguistics, specializing in Pragmatics. Her academic work delved into speech acts as dynamic sites of layered meaning and implication, with a particular focus on linguistic politeness and strategies of politeness, the ambiguity of written discourse, and the evolving use of digital ideograms.

At Argastiri Cultural Institution, her practice moves beyond language as structure, engaging with its cultural afterlife. Words are approached as fragments of memory—echoes of intangible heritage—while language itself is reinterpreted through the interplay of art, culture, and collective experience.

Her professional experience unfolds across multicultural settings, from secondary education to collaborations with art and cultural institutions in Berlin.She has also participated in volunteer initiatives within the international film festival landscape.
