Invitation for the Promotion and Protection of Dry-Stone Structures of Psiloritis (Margarites, 21 July 2024)

The Network of Idaean Municipalities, within the framework of actions for the promotion and protection of the dry-stone heritage of Psiloritis, invites you to the first open thematic event in Margarites, Mylopotamos.

On Sunday, July 21 at 20:00, at the square of Katohoria (Community of Margarites), the first in a series of events will take place under the title:

The Ecological Value and the Social and Cultural Impact of the Dry-Stone Structures of Psiloritis

The thematic presentations will be delivered by:

Maria Padouva, Ethnologist – President of AMKE Rodakas

Dr. Charalampos Fasoulas, President of the Psiloritis UNESCO Global Geopark

Valantis Manolesakis, Architect Engineer, President of the Association of Architects of Rethymno

The event is organized within the framework of the LEADER programme project:
 “Awareness-raising Actions for the Promotion and Protection of the Mitata of Psiloritis and the Traditional Technique of Dry-Stone Construction”,and is a collaboration between the Network of Idaean Municipalities and the Municipality of Anogeia, under the auspices of the Municipality of Mylopotamos.
