Marina Geronti, cultural manager and member of the cultural network, participated in the third thematic session, “Promoting creative industries, cultural tourism, and innovative technologies for sustainable communities,” where she presented two ongoing Digital Culture projects: the IDAology Project and the Metartum Project.
The Cultural Routes Programme celebrated its 35th anniversary this year, on the occasion of the 11th Advisory Forum held from October 5–7 in Chania, highlighting a Europe rich in history, heritage, dialogue, and values that promote cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable tourism.
This was the largest and most well-attended conference in the history of the institution, held under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou. The forum brought together 430 participants from more than 50 countries, including five ministers, six secretaries general, the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly (PACE), the Head of the Greek Delegation Dora Bakoyannis, the Greek Minister of Culture and Sports Lina Mendoni, and the President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, Angela Gerekou.
